Elizabeth A. Chewning :: French Horn Instructor

Elizabeth received her interdisciplinary degree in Music, Communications, and Political Science from Valdosta State University, where she studied horn under Dr. Kristen Johns, a student of horn performance legend Louis Stout. Elizabeth also studied music history in Paris, France, under Dr. Kenneth Kirk (also of Valdosta State University) during the European Council of Georgia’s Summer Study Program in 2000. She performed with VSU’s Wind Ensemble, Blazin’ Brigade, Woodwind Quintet, Pep Band, and Steel Drum Band. She has most recently performed with the Gordon College Band. She also served as the Operations and Stage Manager for the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women.
