Educated at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music and Valdosta State University, John Wayne Roush holds a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Tuba and a Masters of Music Education. Mr. Roush has studied Tuba with Sam Green, Robert M. Barr, John Taylor, Bill Hill, Bruce Tracey and R. Winston Morris. He has performed with the following ensembles: The Albany Symphony Orchestra, the St. John’s River City Band, Thomaston Brass, Valdosta State Faculty Brass Quintet, The Abraham Baldwin Brass Quintet, Port City Brass, college bands at ABAC, Valdosta State and Gordon College. Mr. Roush has also performed with civic orchestras and bands in Spartanburg, South Carolina; Brunswick, Georgia; Piqua, Sidney and Troy, Ohio; Mr. Roush currently resides in Zebulon, Georgia and teaches music at Pike County Primary School. He is looking forward to meeting each student and helping them reach their fullest potential. |
