Marty Watts is the Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Griffin. Having completed Bachelor and Master Degrees in Church Music at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with cello as his primary instrument, he came to Griffin in August 2004 to begin serving First Baptist. During his six years of study at Samford, Marty performed with the Samford University Orchestra, including orchestral repertoire, works with choir, and theatricalperformances. Playing chamber music also became a treasured part of his music making at Samford. His duties as Minister of Music at First Baptist include planning and leading worship services and directing various choral and instrumental ensembles.
