Nellie LaBerge

Nellie LaBerge studied flute at Indiana University, where she received her Bachelor of Music Education degree, and at Georgia State University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Music Theory. Her flute teachers have included Harry Houdeshel and James Pellerite at Indiana University, Frances Blaisdell in New York City, and Paul Brittan of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Besides teaching public school music in California and New Jersey, Mrs. LaBerge has been the music instructor at Crosspointe Christian Academy in Hollonville, Georgia for the past seven years. She has maintained a private flute studio for over thirty years, having added piano instruction six years ago. Nellie is a founding member of the Concord Chamber Players, a flute, harp, and violin trio which has performed music for concert programs, church services, weddings and parties around the state of Georgia for eleven years.
