Stacy Brown :: Trombone and Guitar Instructor

Stacy Brown is in his third year as Director of Bands at Luella High School. Previously, Mr. Brown was Director of Bands and Assistant Director of Bands at Jonesboro High School and taught high school band in South Carolina. Mr. Brown received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina. In addition to teaching, Mr. Brown has played professionally on trombone for various artists and groups including Lou Rawls, Kathy Lee Gifford, Shirley Jones, The Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, and the Atlanta Seventeen Big Band. Also, Mr. Brown played on tour with the Guy Lombardo Royal Canadian Orchestra and with late actor Donald O’Conner.

Mr. Brown is a licensed pilot and enjoys flying his wife and son around the South in search of great airport restaurants. Stacy Brown resides on a small farm in Zetella, Georgia with his wife Gena and son Porter.
