Susan studied painting and drawing at the University of Georgia, and also holds a Certificate in Graphic Design. She has worked in most media, including watercolor, oil acrylics, pencil, pastels and pen & ink. She has been producing art for herself and others in various forms for 40 years. Susan teaches both private and group art classes. She has taught group art classes through Gordon College Department of Community Education, and has led workshops and courses in the art of Nature Journaling at the UGA Griffin Campus Research & Education Garden. Susan also has led art workshops at the annual Crested Butte Wildflower Festival in Colorado. She always encourages personal expression and experimentation in her students’ art-making.
