Theresa received a Bachelor of Arts Degree concentrated in flute performance from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She also performed with the Mercer Flute Ensemble and Mercer Theatre Performers. They also performed on international television for the 1996 Olympics and recorded three albums. She went on to perform at various political and social events in Savannah, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.

Theresa is the owner of Theresa Mitchell Photography and specializes in black and white tinted photographs and sports photography. Her photography education from Mercer University includes basic photography, developing in the dark room, abstract photography, and advertisement photography.

Theresa is currently director of the children’s choirs and is the commander of the Awana programs at Second Baptist Church, Griffin.
